Apply for the 2017 Special Program Grant

Registration Deadline: 15 November

The 2017 Special Program Grant (formerly the Centennial Special Events Grant) is now open! The first deadline for applications is 15 November. Submit your application through the OSA Grants Database.

Chapter and sections may apply for ONE Special Program Grant in 2017. This is a highly-competitive grant that provides up to $1,500 USD for funding youth-education/community outreach or professional development events.

What to include in your application:

  • Be specific - the more detailed your application, the better the reviewers can envision your event and assess your needs.
  • Make sure the budget is detailed and realistic.
  • Identify more sponsors than just OSA, and show the contributions you will receive from each.
  • Think big! Chapter/Section meetings, social gatherings/parties or visiting just one local school does not count as a special program.
  • Collaborate with other Student Chapters and Local Sections.
  • Consider other OSA programs. Check out all of the Student Chapter/Local Section benefits that you can incorporate into your event.

Applications are reviewed in rounds, (or until grant funding runs out).
